EDUCATORS SHOULD AIM AT THE FUTURE: PRESIDENT

National Taipei University (NTPU) President Lee Chen-jia (李承嘉) commissioned new administrative officers for the new academic year on Aug. 1.

Administrative Vice President Chen Dar-hsin (陳達新) is the new Academic vice president and the dean for the new International College of Sustainability Innovations (ICSI), while law professor Chang Wun-yu (張文郁) will take his job as the new administrative vice president for the school.  Associate Professor Huang Chi-jui (黃啟瑞) from the Department of Finance and Cooperative Management is the new head for the Extension Education Center.  Also, Professor Tu I-ching (杜怡靜) will become the new dean for the College of Law while Professor Chen Chin-shyan (陳欽賢) from the Department of Economics is taking oath of the dean office of the College of Social Sciences.

Lee said that he would recognize administrative officers’ contribution and hard work but he would also encourage them to keep up the good work because it is all about the “future.”  He also said that his vision is to continue to hire new staff members and improve necessary hardware and software for teaching and learning.

“Of course, it will be fantastic if our financial needs continue to be fulfilled,” he said.
