Let’s pick fault! 2019 borderless campus project---Lucky Draw

1. According toHigher Education Sprout Project 2.3-1 international exchange and friendly campus

2. Organizer Office of International Affairs

3. Goal To improve the international environment of our campus, we will ask for users’ opinion to keep on improving the bilingual systems of NTPU’s public space, hardware facilities, official website, and other relating information systems.

4. ParticipantsAll students in NTPU, including exchange students, visiting students and international students. (Students from China will receive a certificate.)

5. Promotional Terms and Conditions

A.       From now on to 17:00 Nov29nd, if you find any hardware faults in the public space of National Taipei University (e.g., the road sign in NTPU campus without English version, wrong spelling in the public space in NTPU, ambiguous instruction on equipment in NTPU), please fill out the form(https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdMNx8m6w77q_tGulkLrDo6wwrhUNJwwsUWvQAn2SusFbt4sg/viewform?fbclid=IwAR05Bs9NXi7YS6hQPVKQRJJ9bM6T3fELT5bl9RYwMtLBmDd3b-Y41QbJMLw). After we confirm your form, you will receive a raffle ticket number from us by email.

B.        Please pay attention that each student can only get ONE raffle ticket (even if you fill out more than one form).

C.        Please confirm that the content on your form is REAL! If there is any fabrication in your form, you will be disqualified.

D.     Your attachment must comply with the Code of Conduct, and in particular must not:

Ø   Contain offensive, inappropriate or illegal content, including profanity,

pornographic or sexual content.

Ø   Defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging remarks about other people.

If you have the above contents in your attachment, we will have the right to cancel your qualification in this activity and reserve the right to take legal action.

E.        In the case of other unforeseeable events, we have the right to reschedule this activity and to change our award. If the content of this activity is subject to change, please check our website for the latest information and updates.

F.       Winners of “Let’s Pick Fault” should come to the office of international affairs and receive their prizes within 3 days after the announcement, otherwise they will be disqualified.

The one who finds the most faults does not have to join the raffle draw to win the prize.

10. Notices:

    A. According to the income tax act of the R.O.C., any income more than 1000 NTD derived from prizes or awards in contests or lotteries shall be included in the consolidated income tax. If the prize exceeds 20,000 NTD, 10 % would be deducted from the prize money by the tax withholder for individual resident in the Republic of China (including foreigners, overseas Chinese, Chinese who has no domicile within the territory of the Republic of China but resides within the territory of the Republic of China for a period of 183 days or more during a taxable year). 20 % would be deducted from the prize money by the tax withholder for individual who is a non-resident in the Republic of China (including foreigners, overseas Chinese, Chinese who has no domicile within the territory of the Republic of China but resides within the territory of the Republic of China for a period of 183 days or more during a taxable year). Prize winners should hand in a double-sided copy of their ID card (or passport). Shall the winner refuse to pay for the tax, he/she will be considered to give up on their rights on winning the prize. There will not be a replaced winner as well.

B. Mainland students will not be able to receive prize money if chosen as the winner, according to the regulation regarding China residents studying in Taiwan, article 14: central authorities and affiliations shall not designate budgets in providing scholarships for Mainland students. Schools shall not provide scholarships for Mainland students from the subsidies of central government.
