In regard to student activities, supervised by law faculty memebers and alumni, our law students formed the Society for Legal Aid to provide pro bono legal services for the public. Each year this Society also organizes youth camps in rural areas for teenagers to learn some basic knowledge of law and democracy.
INTERNATIONAL LAW CLUB
NTPU ILA was reestablished on Nov. 14, 2006. The main purposes of this club are to increase students' interest in the field of International law and to cultivate students' global perspective as well as foreign languages skills. Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot and Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court competition are important events of the association. NTPU ILA also encourages their members to participate in activities such as Model U.N. and urges them to take English or other foreign language courses. Club members arrange weekly programs and plan to invite experts and scholars for guest lectures on specific topics so that the students of our university can gain deeper understanding of international affairs.
