【Call for Proposals】 The 2025 University System of Taipei Collaboration Research Projects will start accepting online applications from October 1, 2024

Application Period: October 1, 2024 to October 31, 2024 5:00 PM.

Call for Proposals Content:

  1. Project Category
  1. Collaboration topics: The collaboration topics are not limited, but some specific topics are encouraged, as outlined in the attachment.
  2. Period: January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025
  3. Call for two types of projects are being solicited, both of which must be jointly proposed by two universities and have a one-year duration.
  1. Individual project:For each individual project, the grant from two universities shall not exceed a total of NT$600,000 per project per year.
  2. Integrated project:Integrated projects should be a main project comprised of three or more sub-projects. The chief investigator will execute one of the sub-projects. The grant from two universities for each subproject shall not exceed a total of NT$600,000 per years.
  1. Applicant Criteria

The principal investigator and the co-principal investigators of individual projects, as well as the chief investigator, subproject principal investigators, and sub-investigators of integrated projects must be full-time faculty members, medical personnel, or research personnel within the organizational system; personnel outside the staffing complement shall follow guidelines as stated by university announcements.

  1. Application and Implementation Procedures
  • Both individual and integrated research projects (including the subprojects of integrated projects) must be jointly proposed by personnel from two or more universities.
  • Each principal investigator, co-principal investigator, or sub-investigator should not submit more than two research grant applications per year. The approved research grant for each principal investigator, co-principal investigator, or sub-investigator should not exceed one per year. There should be two chief investigators for each integrated project, and two principal investigators for each individual project; the positions of chief investigators/principal investigators must be held by members from different universities.
  • The content of the application for this research project must adhere to the academic ethics guidelines set by the NSTC and each university.
  1. Project Execution-Related Matters
  • For more information, including applicant eligibility criteria, grant items, review focus, project execution outcomes, author ranking guidelines for publishing papers, please refer to the attached "Guidelines for University System of Taipei Collaboration Research Projects" and the relevant regulations of each university.
  • For projects involving human, genetic recombination, or animal experimentation, approval documents must be submitted within four months of the project approval. Failure to provide the documents within this period will result in the inability to access funding. If the deadline is exceeded, it may affect the approval of the project.
